Tendering has been adopted by both the private and the public sectors to achieve efficiencies and cost savings when purchasing outsourced services. The procurement process spans a life cycle from identification of the need, through the selection of suppliers, to
post-contract award management, including disposal. This process is inflexible and can be daunting for any business unused to providing their services in this way.
