IRP Standards - Advancing the Recruitment Profession

IRP Standards
Standards are crucial to the recruitment profession because they ensure that robust ethical principles are applied consistently during the recruitment process.

For nearly  80 years, the Recruitment and Employment Confederation's standards have helped establish the organisation as the authority in recruitment practice, helping it create a sense of trust and credibility with both clients and candidates.

It is the mission of the IRP to uphold those standards and improve the understanding and practice of excellent recruitment by establishing legal and ethical frameworks for the recruitment profession.

IRP standards start with the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct to which all members of the Institute must adhere to.

The purpose of the IRP's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct is to instil confidence in the recruitment profession and to help an individual become a better recruiter; it describes the expectations that we have of IRP members.

The value of membership and standards has never been more important: that is because there is an increasing realisation that only honest and transparent business creates trust.
