The Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) is the representative body for individual recruiters and resourcing specialists. Founded by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) in 2009, the IRP represents approximately 4,744 individual members who deliver the UK’s recruitment services.
All IRP members sign up to and abide by the IRP Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, which demonstrates their commitment to practicing the very highest standards of principled and professional recruitment. IRP members can further demonstrate their professionalism by achieving one of IRP’s accredited qualifications, the Certificate in Recruitment Practice, Diploma in Recruitment Management and Apprenticeship in Recruitment Practice.
Many of the REC’s 3,506 corporate members are also IRP Advocates, providing their staff with the benefit of IRP membership and sponsoring them through IRP qualifications. This ensures clients and candidates that their recruiter is a leader in their profession.
The IRP actively supports its members through a variety of social media channels, including the ‘I love recruitment blog’ and our LinkedIn and Facebook groups. Read more about the IRP online.
