The Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) is the UK’s largest and most influential representative body for individual professionals working within the Staffing and Recruitment Industry.
The IRP was established by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) in 2009, and has a membership of over 9,500 recruitment professionals. IRP membership demonstrates a commitment to upholding world-class recruitment standards, providing a clear differentiator for professional recruiters.
In order to retain membership all IRP members agree to abide by our recruitment Code of Ethics, committing to upholding best practice as a professional recruiter.
Ensuring the continuing professional development of our members, the IRP provides recruitment training at every level of experience.
Our career routeway has been designed to help recruiters excel in the industry and maps out a recruitment career route in terms of qualifications and training. Covering key knowledge and competencies required at various recruitment career milestones – from Recruitment Apprenticeships to Business Leadership – it provides a comprehensive training framework for all recruiters.
All of the IRP’s qualifications are awarded by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation.
We’re proud to represent our members. As part of your IRP membership you benefit from the REC’s lobbying of government and major stakeholders, and you can attend selected meetings where you’ll have the opportunity to gain and offer insight about your industry.
From emails and social media to webinars and our blog, we engage with members across a range of platforms, making sure members of the IRP are up-to-date with industry developments, trends and insights.
As an IRP member you can also keep up to date with the latest recruitment industry news and trends through our regular e-newsletter, Inside Recruitment, or the news feed section of the website.
