Being a member of the IRP means that you are a recognised professional and allows you to use designatory letters after your name. There are four levels of membership:
Affiliate membership (AIRP) is tailored to those in the industry that have less than 10 years’ experience.
A recruiter or resourcer can be an Affiliate if they wish, or become eligible to upgrade to MIRP when they have 10 years industry experience or once they have successfully completed a professional qualification awarded by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC).
Member level (MIRP) is open to any recruiter or resourcer who can demonstrate one of the following:
Fellowship level (FIRP) is open to any recruiter who can demonstrate one of the following:
FIRP applicants will also need to provide two written testimonials and a copy of their CV to support their application.
Overseas membership is open to any recruiter who operates outside of the UK or Channel Islands. The levels of membership and criteria are the same as the AIRP, MIRP and FIRP.
Due to the additional costs incurred by overseas applicants the IRP charges a different membership fee.
Overseas member’s fees are £140.00 per membership, regardless of level.
